Watson Morgan Jr.
Pastor Morgan was born into a loving Christian home and accepted Christ as his Savior at the age of twelve. He felt Gods call to ministry two years later at the age of fourteen. In formal preparation for ministry he has earned a Bachelor of Christian Theology Degree and Master of Arts in Biblical Studies. He met his wife Lydia while serving as Program Director at Rapidan Baptist Camp and they married in 1999. God has blessed their home with five wonderful children Jeremiah, Luke, Josalyn, Joel, and Sadie. He served as an Assistant Pastor in two different churches for over 13 years and was the Senior Pastor of his home church for five and a half years. Eventually God led him to become the Pastor of Temple Baptist Church. He and his family thouroughly enjoy ministering among the wonderful people of this church. His life verse is Romans 12:1-2, "I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind , that ye may prove what is that good, and accepteable, and perfect will of God." We are excited about what God has done and look forward to what He is going to do in years to come.
Devin was born and raised in Spotsylvania, VA and saved at 16 years old. He felt his calling to ministry at 18 years old and graduated with a Bachelor's of Ministry with a concentration in Pastoral Studies from Veritas Baptist College in 2019. He met his wife Katelyn in high school and they were married in September of 2019. She played a large role in his introduction to the gospel. He served at Glenora Baptist Church with the youth and music ministries for several years and is now serving along side Pastor Morgan at Temple, focusing his efforts with the youth, the young adult, music, and outreach ministries. He plans to continue his formal education at the Master's level as he serves and grows at Temple. His life verse is Matthew 5:16, "Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven."
