As a youth, Devin possessed a singular passion  in life: a professional basketball career. But that changed when he felt God calling him to the ministry.
After accepting Christ as his Savior, he found a new passion: telling others about the gospel of Jesus and the hope that He brings. Choosing to obey God, he gave up his collegiate basketball dreams to attend Bible college.
Now the Assistant Pastor here at Temple, he is using his love for basketball to reach the community with the gospel in a unique way: Hoops For Hope. Hoops For Hope is designed to help you improve your basketball skills, as well as encourage you to follow Jesus. So far, Hoops For Hope has hosted Friday night open gyms, Saturday fundamental clinics, and one-on-one skills training sessions.
